Who We Are

Spirit of Hope provides safe emergency shelter for men who are homeless in Walworth County and has been in operation since 2005. The Shelter rotates between five host church sites in Walworth County, Wisconsin, from the end of October until the middle of April and is currently closed for the Shelter year and will be reopening at the end of October 2020. The Shelter is staffed by an Executive Director, a General Manager and host site Coordinators and Volunteers.  Click HERE to find out how you can help…

Three meals are provided daily with showers and laundry opportunities weekly. Assistance is given with job and housing searches and transportation is provided to work sites and medical appointments for those who do not have a vehicle.  Our goal is to help the men transition back into jobs, homes and the community again.

We have been providing assistance for 14 years during the 6-1/2 months of Winter and over the last six Shelter years 356 men were assisted for a total of 12,446 bed nights, 3,549 meals served and 37,856 volunteer hours utilized.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and receive funding from United Way of Walworth County.
